De fapt, Hristos m-a trimis nu să botez, ci să propovăduiesc Evanghelia: nu cu înţelepciunea vorbirii, ca nu cumva crucea lui Hristos să fie făcută zadarnică.

Căci Cristos nu m-a trimis să botez, ci să vestesc Evanghelia, nu cu înţelepciunea vorbirii, ca nu cumva crucea lui Cristos să fie golită de folosul ei.
